Navy Chief attends 19th Sea Power symposium at Newport -USA

Sri Lankan Navy Chief, Vice Admiral TSG Samarasinghe RSP, VSV, USP, ndc, psc, DISS, along with his Indian counterpart Admiral Nirmal Varma have gained the opportunity of attending the 19th Sea Power Symposium, currently being conducted by the United States Navy at the Naval War College, Newport, Rhode Island.

The symposium attended by 96 Chiefs of Navies of the world and 15 other heads of naval delegations is the highest naval gathering held under one roof in history.

Both Naval Chiefs are distinguished graduates of the Naval War College of the USA, having graduated from Naval Staff College in 1991 and Naval Command College in 1997 respectively.
