Burundian Vice President visits Navy's boat building facility

His Excellency Gaston Sindimwo, the Vice President of the Republic of Burundi visited the Sri Lanka Navy's boat building yard in Welisara, on Sunday (28 October).

According to Navy media, the Burundian delegation had inspected some of the craft at the boat building facility, including the Cedric and accommodation type Wave Rider craft. The visiting delegation had shown interest in purchasing the Cedric craft, to be employed in their inland waters.

Commander Western Naval Area, Rear Admiral Nishantha Ulugetenne and Director General Engineering, Rear Admiral Ravindra Ranasinghe, were also associated with the visit.

The Burundian Vice President visited the Welisara boat yard during his official visit to the island.
