Kilinochchi troops carry out community welfare programmes

Sri Lanka Army troops in Kilinochchi carried out a
Shramadana (self-help) campaign at the Mulankavil temple in Kilinochchi,
last week (07th Thursday). The community welfare programme was carried
out by a group of Army personnel in response to a request by the clergy.
The temple premises was cleaned and measures were taken to beautify the
surrounding of this place of worship in keeping with the sanctity and
consultation of the clergy.
Meanwhile, another Shramadana programme was carried
out by Kilinochchi based troops at the Kalvilan Government Tamil Mixed
School premises in Kilinochchi, on the same day. More than 100 troops
put their hands together to make this programme a success.
