Secretary graces Graduation Ceremony

Chief Guest at the Graduation
Ceremony of the Logistics Staff
Course - No 4 (LSC) of the Sri
Lanka Army, held at the Defence
Services College auditorium in
Colombo on Wednesday (06 June).
Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha Unit of the Ministry
of Defence, Mrs. Shalini Waidyaratne was also present at the occasion.
The ceremony saw, 32 middle-grade Army officers,
including two foreign officers who had successfully completed the one
year Logistics Staff Course at the Army School of Logistics (ASL) in
Trincomalee receive their graduation from the Secretary and the
Commander of the Army, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake.
During the ceremony, two ASL awards including the
'Best Logistic Planner' and the 'Best Overall Performance' of the LSC -
No 4 were also presented.
Members of the diplomatic corps, senior Army officers
and a number of distinguished guests were also present at the occasion.
Declared open on 9th May, 2011, the Army School of
Logistics at Clappenburg, Trincomalee is the premier Logistics Training
Establishment of the Army where all level arms are trained in the field
of logistics and administration.
The Logistics Staff Course is the highest professional
course in Administration and Logistics conducted for middle grade
officers of the Army.
