Security forces has taken all measures for public security

Security forces together with police are carrying out maximum operations to eradicate terrorism in the country. From the operations carried out in last three weeks since 21 April, Security forces were able to kill most of the terrorist and other suspects were taken in to custody, so the public is requested to carryout day to day life without any fear. Further, incidents happened in Bingiriya, Chilaw on 12 May and Negombo in last week has interrupted normal security operations since extra forces were deployed to keep law and order in the country.

Therefore, public is requested to act responsibly thereby support the security forces to eradicate the terrorism, stated the Chief of Defence Staff, Admiral Ravindra Wijegunaratne during the press briefing held at the Media Centre in Kollupitiya, last evening (13).
