A medical grade Reverse Osmosis (RO) water treatment plant designed by the Sri Lanka Navy for the Hemodialysis Unit at the Minuwangoda Base Hospital was declared open on Monday (Oct 21). According to Navy media, this is the 30th medical grade RO plant developed and installed under the Naval Social Responsibility Project.

KDU GAMES 2024
KDU GAMES, the first ever inter-university sports festival organised by General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University was held at Diyagama Mahinda Rajapaksa Stadium on 7th and 8th October 2024. The games were declared open by Major General CA Wickramasinghe USP USACGSC, Deputy Vice Chancellor (Defence & Administration) and President of the Sports Council of KDU. In this competitive arena of sports, 200 athletes from ten faculties of KDU and seven state and non-state universities participated, providing a breathtaking experience for undergraduates from both state and non-state Universities of Sri Lanka. Displaying strong skills, camaraderie and sportsmanship, the overall championship was secured by General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University.
