SLN continues Mangrove planting
Enhancing the awareness on marine plant ecosystems, the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) conducted a beach cleaning programme and planted mangrove saplings in the Talaimannar and Nachchikuda areas, yesterday (26 July).
Advisory for strong winds
The Meteorology Department issuing an advisory for strong winds said fairly strong winds up to (40-50) kmph and gusting up to 60 kmph can be expected in the western slope of Central hills, North-Central and North-Western provinces and in Hambantota and Trincomalee districts.
