SLN donates blood to brace healthcare drive
The Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) conducted a blood donation campaign covering island-wide Naval Commands in collaboration with the National Blood Transfusion Service, Apeksha Hospital and other Hospitals yesterday (24 May).

Advisory on cyclonic storm “YAAS”
The Met. Department issuing an advisory on cyclonic storm said the deep depression located in the East Central Bay of Bengal has intensified into a cyclonic storm ‘YAAS’ and lay centred near latitude 16.3N and longitude 89.7E, on May 24 around 05.30 a.m.
Other Illegal Activities
The Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG) and Police apprehended 30 persons and foiled an illegal migration attempt during a special operation conducted in Samindugama, Chilaw, recently.
