Army Chief reviews progress of graduate orientation training program

Army Chief Lt. Gen, Shavendra Silva yesterday (15) made a visit to the Army training centres at Army Cantonment, Panagoda and reviewed the progress of the one-month-long residential graduate orientation training program which began on Monday (14) at 51 island-wide Army Centres.

STF nabs a haul of cannabis and turmeric from Pudukuduirippu

The Special Task Force (STF) has nabbed four persons while smugglling  52 kilograms and  353 grams of Kerala  cannabis, 920 kilograms and 250 grams of turmeric stock while transporting in a lorry and tractor in Uilankulam, Pudukuduirippu, today (15).
