President opens 'Methsiri Sevana' , the Kidney Patients Relief Service, Welfare and Research Centre
President Maithripala Sirisena says due to the broad programmes launched within the past four years in preventing the kidney disease there is a reduction in the spread of kidney disease.

A special religious programme was held at the National Media Centre in Colombo in view of the "Tiripitakabhivandana" week, today (22nd March).

Ministry to hold religious programmes in view of 'Tripitakabhivandana' Week
The 'Tripitakabhivandana' Week has been declared from 16th to 23rd March, to mark the occasion of initiating the process in order to declare the Theravada Tripitaka, the sacred scripture of Buddhists, as a World Heritage. The initiative is mooted under a concept of the President Maithripala Sirisena.
Another segment of land to be released in East
