Army troops under 61 Infantry Division are busy providing emergency flood relief assistance to flood victims in several areas in the Southern region.

Navy continues to assist flood victims
Following adverse weather conditions prevailing in several parts of the island, the Sri Lanka Navy has mobilized its flood relief teams in Akuressa, Thihagoda and Kamuburupitiya areas in the Southern Province as of 04th October 2023. These teams are currently engaged in providing assistance to the flood-affected individuals in those regions.
