The delegation led by U.S. Principal Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defence for Indo-Pacific Security Affairs (PDASD) Jedidiah P Royal paid a courtesy call on the State Minister of Defence Hon. Premitha Bandara Tennakoon and Defence Secretary Gen. Kamal Gunaratne during two separate occasions today (Feb 16).
‘Sindurala’ adjudged best navy ship
Sri Lanka Navy Ship ‘Sindurala’ has been adjudged as the Best Ship in 2022 at the SL Navy’s annual Best Ship competition. According to SL Navy media sources, SLNS Sindurala, SLNS Mihikatha and P 414 have been named as the top performers in the major and minor vessel, and craft categories respectively at the competition.

Army Farms Begin to Reap Vegetables and Paddy Harvest around the Country
The Army-managed island-wide farms are currently engaged in collecting the Maha season's paddy harvest and seasonal vegetables after they were cultivated in respective farms several months ago in order to support the government's food security programme.

Blockage in Attanagalu Oya cleared with military support
