Coast Guard celebrates 9th anniversary
The 09th anniversary of the Sri Lanka Coast Guard fell on Monday (04 March). Anniversary celebrations saw a series of social welfare, sports and other events being held at the SLCG Headquarters in Mirissa and also at its Rear Headquarters in Wellawatte, Colombo.

Army public welfare initiatives benefit underprivileged communities and disable people in the North
With a view to uplift the living standards of the underprivileged people living in the Jaffna Peninsula, Sri anka Army troops launched a project to build toilet facilities for a group of needy families there. Under the project, 27 new toilets were built with support from an expat living in Australia, states Army media.

"Sayurala" attends "AMAN 2019" Multinational Naval Exercise
The Sri Lanka Navy Ship "Sayurala" was among the naval ships and craft of 44 countries that attended the multinational naval exercise "AMAN 2019" in Karachhi, Pakistan. Sayurala had left for Pakistan to attend the five-day exercise representing the Sri Lanka Navy. AMAN is organized by the Pakistan Navy and was held from 08th to 13th of this month (February).
