SLAF’s 6th aviation contingent departed for MINUSCA
Initiating the annual change of Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) personnel of Aviation Unit which operates under the United Nations helicopter deployment in the Central African Republic (MINUSCA), the interchanging contingent departed the country yesterday (Nov 10).
Heavy showers above 100 mm expected in several areas - Met. Dept
The Meteorology Department’s weather report today (Nov 11) issuing its statement said showers or thundershowers will occur at several places in most parts of the island during afternoon or night while stating that showers will occur at several places in Northern and Eastern provinces and in coastal areas of Sothern province during the morning.
2,277 persons isolated in 28 quarantine centres
A total of 2,277 persons are isolated in military-managed 28 quarantine centres as of today (11), the National Operations Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) said.

Along with the total of 356 Coronavirus positives identified yesterday (09) the total number of confirmed cases in Sri Lanka has increased to 14,285 according to the Epidemiology Unit, Health Ministry.
Quarantine curfew would be strictly enforced in areas isolated
However, authorities have decided to isolate 25 Police areas in Colombo, Gampaha, Kalutara, Kegalle and Kurunegala Districts in addition to the Municipal Council area of Kurunegala and the GS division of Wekada West in Panadura.
