Navy brings COVID-19 suspected fisherman onto land
March 30, 2020On a tipoff by Trincomalee Police, Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) has brought a fisherman into the land who had associated a COVID-19 infected person, while he was trawling at sea yesterday (29).
Having located the suspect with the craft, SLN has escorted with the assistance with two other vessels including ten persons those who were on aboard to the Trincomalee harbor.
Upon arrival, three vessels had been sterilized by the SLN’s Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Unit.
Returnees were handed over to the harbor Police in Trincomalee for investigations.
