Quarantined 206 returnees released from SLAF Quarantine Centre in Vanni

A total of 206 persons, who had undergone a mandatory quarantine period at the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) established quarantine center at Vanni, have been released in the morning today (March 31).

 

The individuals had arrived from overseas on March 17 and were immediately directed to the quarantine center, managed by the Regiment Training School, Vanni under the supervision of the Commanding Officer Air Commodore DCI Weerasooriya.

The center is first one of its kind, to be established by the SLAF on instructions of the SLAF Commander Air Marshal Sumangala Dias.

The Air forces operated center is fully equipped with all facilities including medical equipment and personnel.

According to the SLAF media, a Sri Lankan male who was a British passport holder and a Philippine Lady were also part of the 206 passengers who underwent the Quarantine procedure at Vanni. The returnees are expected to further undergo two more weeks self-quarantine in their respective homes.
