Over 3,372 persons are under quarantine in military led centres
April 06, 2020A total of 3,169 people, including those who returned overseas, has undergone the 14-day quarantine process in centres run by the tri-forces, sources at the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO) at Rajagiriya said.
With 203 returnees released by Sri Lanka Air Force today (06), the number of quarantined individuals who left QCs for their homes rises to 3372.
At the same time, 144 persons suspected to have been in contact with corona patient found from Akurana were taken to Punani QC in Vavuniya by the Army, yesterday.
A group of 45 persons suspected to have contacted with the corona patient from Maharagama, 34 persons who had contact with the positive case in Ratmalana and 21 relatives of the corona patient from Orugodawatte were also sent to the Punani quarantine centre, the NOCPCO, said.
