203 pilgrims from India left Mullaithivu SLAF quarantine Centre for homes
April 06, 2020Another group of returnees who underwent 14 day quarantine period in Mullaithivu were released today (06).
The group of 203 persons from different areas of the island had been on a pilgrimage to India. They all were directed to Mullaithivu quarantine centre run by Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) on their arrival to the country on March 21 and 22.
There were 56 males including 5Buddhist monks, 147 females and one child in the pilgrims’ group. During their stay, returnees were provided with meals, sanitary facilities and other essential needs including 4G internet facility by SLAF.
Health Department officials present on the occasion issued them with a certificate on completion of quarantine period each and gave further instructions to be at home on self-quarantine for 14 more days.
