Navy General Hospital Colombo delivers medicine to patients receiving long-term treatment
April 08, 2020The Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) has distributed monthly medicine allocations among its retired and serving naval personnel and their family members who are attending clinics in Navy General Hospital Colombo.
The SLN commenced door-to-door distribution of medicinal drugs among naval personnels, who are attending SLN hospitals from April 8 and the programs was extended to Colombo, Gampaha, Kandy, Kurunegala, Kegalle and Polonnaruwa districts following the directives of SLN Commander Vice Admiral Piyal De Silva.
Prescribed by Consultant Physicians, the SLN has home delivered 168 packages of pharmaceutical drugs among patients so far.
The SLN took the decision to distribute medicinal drugs among its patients as they were unable to attend respective hospitals due to prevailing curfew imposed to contain the spread of COVID-19 in the country
The SLN personnel retired and serving and their family members, who are receiving long-term medical treatment from the Colombo Naval Hospital received their monthly quota of medicine under this program
