Twenty seven healthcare workers of Ragama and Welisara hospitals, sent to SLN quarantine centre in Mulankavil

  • Two hospital staffers have closely associated with COVID-19 infected resident in Suduwella.

With Sri Lanka Navy’s (SLN) intelligence finding two staffers of the Colombo North Teaching Hospital, Ragama and National Hospital for Respiratory Diseases in Welisara, having close links with an COVID-19 infected person from Sudewella, Ja-Ela, 27 healthcare workers of the two hospitals have been sent to SLN’s quarantine centre in Mulankavil, Mannar, today (April 12).

Among the healthcare workers sent for quarantine, there are 22 from the Ragama hospital and five from Welisara and include 22 males and five females.

They have been sent to the quarantine centre at Mulankavil  after subjected to a preliminary health check-up.
