Navy brings foreign seaman found sick for treatments
April 16, 2020Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) assisted a seaman, who was sick, to come ashore from a merchant ship for treatment, today (16).
Following to a request made by the local agent operating in Sri Lanka, Defence Ministry initiated swift measures with SLN to bring the patient ashore.
Patient belonged to Merchant Vessel ‘Menkar’, was brought ashore by the SLN's Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear (CBRN) Unit and directed to the National Hospital, Colombo.
