Army transports Mullaitivu farmers' vegetable harvests to South
April 20, 2020Troops in Mullaitivu supporting the farmers in the area, have made arrangements to transport their vegetable harvest to cities in the South.
68 Division of Puthukudiyiruppu of the Security Force - Mullaitivu made arrangements to transport the vegetable harvest of Mullaitivu farmers to Colombo and Kalutara in Army vehicles on Saturday (18).
Full income of the wholesale vegetables was handed over to respective farmers by 68 Division officers. The programme was coordinated by the 68 Division on directives of Mullaitivu SF Commander Maj. Gen. Deepthi Jayathillake.
