Highest number of PCR tests conducted yesterday (27)
April 28, 2020The Director General Health Services Dr. Anil Jasinghe said, the highest number of PCR tests were conducted yesterday (27). The number of tests conducted within the day was 1,400.
“Further augmenting test facilities, Teaching Hospital, Batticaloa was also added to the testing process yesterday. Accordingly, we have established 16 institutions in the island to conduct PCR tests,” Dr. Anil Jasinghe said.
Following to the discussions held with University of Colombo, University of Peradeniya and University of Kelaniya, they also agreed and pledged to commence testing in support of the ongoing process, he added.
