First sailor to recover from coronavirus left IDH hospital
May 04, 2020The first sailor, who recovered from coronavirus, left the Infections Disease Hospital (IDH) upon total recovery from the deadly virus yesterday (3).
The sailor, who was tested positive for coronavirus by the Rathnapura hospital following to a PCR test, was admitted to the IDH on April 25 for further treatments. He was tested positive while he was on leave.
Repeated three tests have confirmed that, infected sailor is now free of the virus after treatments.
According to the medical advice, fully recovered sailor has been directed to undergo 14-day quarantine process. Those who associated him during the leave period are also undergoing quarantine at the Naval centre in Boossa.
