Army hands over 701st house built by Army for Jaffna civilians
May 07, 2020Troops in Jaffna handed over 701st house built by them for a low-income famiy in Jaffna.
The Jaffna Security Force Headquarters commenced its construction of houses for the needy targeting low income families in the peninsular.
The new house built by the 5th Sri Lanka Army Service Corps (5 SLASC) at Kankesanthurai was handed over to Arumugam Rasamma of Urumpirai West last Tuesday (May 5) during a simple ceremony graced by Jaffna Security Force Commander Maj. Gen. Ruwan Wanigasooriya.
Soldiers of the 15th Sri Lanka National Guard contributed their labour to build the house within a short period.
