SLN to set-up RO plant at ancient Muhudu Maha Viharaya in Pothuvil
May 29, 2020Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) installed a Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant, at the ancient Muhudu Maha Viharaya in Pothuvil yesterday (28).
The Health Ministry sponsored new RO plant project, installed and operated by the South-Eastern Naval Command, vested for the use of regional community, as permanent solution for the long existed drinking water problem in the area.
The new water facility, declared opened by the South-Eastern Naval Commander Rear Admiral Senarath Wijesooriya, amidst blessings of Ven. Maha Sanga, is now capable of providing drinking water not only for residents those who are suffering from Chronic Kidney Diseases, but also the devotees, those who visit the sacred place of worship.
The Chief Prelate Muhudu Maha Viharaya, Pothuvil Divisional Secretary, Navy Officers, Residents in areas and devotees were present at the yesterday's inaugural session.
