Army soldier who assisted Kuwait returnees at BIA turns positive
May 31, 2020An Army soldier who was assisting the expatriates arriving in the country at the Bandaranaike International Airport (BIA) has been confirmed positive for the Coronavirus yesterday (May 30).
The infected soldier had been on duty assisting the returnees from Kuwait during their arrival at the BIA.
Issuing an amendment to the previously issued press release, Director General Government Information Department Nalaka Kaluwewa said that among the positive cases reported on Saturday (30) from Kuwait returnees, one patient has been identified as an Army soldier during the initial registration, which has previously counted as a Kuwait returnee.
