Air Force recognizes educational feats of young achievers
February 01, 2019The Sri Lanka Air Force had organized a felicitation ceremony to recognize the educational achievements of the children of Air Force personnel and its civil employees at the Air Force Headquarters auditorium on Wednesday (31 January). According to Air Force media, children of those personnel who had excelled at the Grade 5 Scholarship and GCE A/L Examinations were thus felicitated at the event.
One hundred and eleven (111) students, who had scored above 175 marks at the Grade 5 Scholarship Examination and one (01) student who had obtained three "A's at the GCE A/L Examination were presented with financial gifts by the Seva Vanitha Unit (SVU) of the Sri Lanka Air Force. The ceremony was graced by the Commander of the Air Force, Air Marshal Kapila Jayampathy.
Officials of the Air Force SVU and officers were also present at the occasion.
