Golden Fence of Nagadeepa Sudhu Bodhi declared open
June 06, 2020A Golden Fence erected around the Sudu Bodhi of the historical Nagadeepa temple in Jaffna by Jaffna troops was dedicated to the Raja Maha Vihara at a religious function held on Poson Full Moon Poya day (June 5).
Financial contribution for this glamorous construction which adds extra value to the sacred Sudu Bodhi was made by Hatton National Bank's director legal Thushari Ranaweera and her colleagues in coordination with 511 Brigade Commander Colonel Rohitha Ratnayake.
The religious ceremony in this effect was held under the guidance of Chief Prelate of the Nagadeepa Temple Ven. Navadagala Padumakiththathissa thero with participation of members of the Maha Sangha, Jaffna Security Forces Commander Maj. Gen. Ruwan Wanigasooriya, Commander of Northern Naval Area Rear Admiral Kapila Samaraweera, General Officer Commanding 51 Division, Senior Officers and other ranks.
