Foreign Ministry dispatches essential items to Sri Lankans in Maldives
June 10, 2020The Foreign Ministry has dispatched 2000 packs of essential items including about 10,000 kilos dry rations for the use of stranded Sri Lankans in Maldives.
Foreign ministry said, this initiative was taken as a supportive measure for the stranded Sri Lankans in Maldives, since the Maldivian Government has declared a status of red alert with the coronavirus outbreak in the country.
Foreign Ministry also said Maldivian authorities have expressed their willingness to conduct PCR tests for Sri Lankans awaiting repatriation.
