MINUSMA Force Commander call on Secretary
February 06, 2019The Force Commander for the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali, (MINUSMA), Lieutenant General Dennis Gyllisporre, made a call on the Secretary to the Ministry of Defence, Mr. Hemasiri Fernando on Tuesday (05 February).
Secretary Fernando and Lieutenant General Gyllisporre had cordial discussion during the meeting and also exchanged mementos to mark the occasion.
Lieutenant General Dennis Gyllisporre arrived to the country on Monday (04) to handover the bodies of the two Sri Lankan Peacekeepers who were killed in an IED (Improvised Explosive Device) explosion, while engaged in Peacekeeping duties in Mali, last month (25 January).
