More educational assistance for Kilinochchi students
February 06, 2019A large stock of school accessories was distributed to more than 3900 children in the Northern region under the 'Senehe Siyapatha' welfare project, launched jointly by the Ministry of Defence, Ministry of Disaster Management and Dialog Axiata PLC, recently. Accordingly, 3934 students who had been affected by the recent floods in the Kilinochchi region were presented with educational assistance under the programme.
The programme was carried out from 30th January to 01st February with the assistance of Army troops in Kilinochchi. Beneficiary students from 15 schools in the region were selected on the recommendations made by state officials and school authorities.
