SLN nabs illegal sandalwood logging racket
June 12, 2020Sri Lanka Navy nabbed a racket of illegal sandalwood logs transportation in a joint operation conducted with the Police Anti-Corruption Unit, Hambantota yesterday (June 11).
Four persons aged between 24 and 42 years with two vehicles including a light lorry used for illegal logging were arrested during the operation.
Hambantota Police station is conducting further investigations into the incident.
