Indian survey ship leaves Colombo

The Indian Navy's hydrographic survey ship "INS Jamuna" departed the island after taking part in a joint hydrographic survey in Sri Lankan waters, today (06 February). According to Navy media, "Jamuna" was accorded a traditional farewell by the SL Navy upon her departure from the Colombo harbor.

"Jamuna" arrived in Sri Lanka last month (20th December) for a joint hydrographic survey, covering the sea area from Colombo to Galle. The 85.77m long ship is 12.82m in width and carries a crew of 230. The ship left the country today after the successful completion of the survey.
