180 Army personnel donate blood to Mannar and Anuradhapura hospitals
June 16, 2020Responding to requests made by the Teaching Hospital at Anuradhapura and the Mannar General Hospital, Sri Lankan Army troops initiated a blood donation campaign on Sunday (June 14).
The hospital authorities have informed the Army of a possible blood shortage for infusion.
Accordingly, 180 Army officers and soldiers at the 54 Division Headquarters and the 7 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (7 VIR) had donated blood, the Army stated.
