Police intensifies narcotic interdiction operations in Colombo
June 19, 2020Sri Lanka Police has intensified narcotic interdiction operations with over five drug addicts arrested on Monday (June 16) and Tuesday (June 17) at Dehiwala, Mount Lavinia, Angulana and Rathmalana.
According to the Police, all suspects aged between 22 to 37 years were in possession of heroin at the time of their arrest.
Recently, Defence Secretary Maj. Gen. (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne, addressing print and electronic media, assured to form a society free of drugs, underworld activities, organized crimes and extortion for all communities to live in a just and safe country in future.
