Troops in Jaffna arrange a three days training programme for students in North and South

A group of more than 750 students out of 30 Jaffna schools and 200 students of South-based schools, joined together for three days training programme organized by the Security Forces - Jaffna at Doraippa Stadium recently.

In the view of strengthen and promote spirits of reconciliation and harmony Security Forces - Jaffna took the initiative to arrange this training programme.

During the programme students of school cadetting and students in western bands receive awareness, skills and knowledge on their respective subjects.

Security Forces - Jaffna, the instructors in the National Cadet Corps (NCC) offered their guidance, instructions and assistance for the three-day long sessions, attended by hundreds of students together.

At the closing occasion on 09th February, combined displays of Band playing took place in the presence of a distinguished gathering at the invitation of the SFHQ-J.

The Security Force Headquarters - Mullaittivu (SFHQ-MLT) took the initiative to organize a training camp for Mullaittivu volleyball players recently at Oddusudan Maha Vidyalaya premises.

According to Army Media, around 300 male and female volleyball players, including instructors, sports teachers and trainers of several schools and local sports clubs voluntarily attended the camp with a short notice where Army trainers assisted and coached them giving instructions and guidelines about this game.

Commander, SF-MLT, Senior Officers and civil onlookers were present during the training arrangement.
