SLN nabs 58 kilos of kerala cannabis from Northern seas
June 20, 2020Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) nabbed two persons with a haul of Kerala cannabis during a special operation conducted at the Kakarativu Island, Jaffna.
The arrest was made during a raid carried out following information regarding a foreign vessel which is trafficking drugs at the International Maritime Boundary Line.
SLN arrested two suspects, residents of Sirithoppur, Mannar aged 30 and 40 years and a dingy boat with 58 kilos of kerala cannabis during the operation.
Police Narcotics Bureau, Jaffna is conducting further investigations into the incident.
