Chinese Embassy donates Rs. 2.7 million to Ranaviru Seva Authority
June 23, 2020Chinese Embassy in Colombo, responding to the request of Maj. Gen. (Retd) Nandana Senadheera, President of Ranaviru Seva Authority (RSA), contributed a financial donation to the RSA to enhance welfare programmes for war heroes.
Defence Attache of the Embassy Senior Colonel Wan Dong handed over the donation of Rs. 2.7 million to Maj. Gen. Senadheera during a brief function today (June 23) at the RSA premises. The donation will be used to purchase artificial limbs and other physical aid for disabled war heroes, and to assist the children of war hero families for their IT education.
Assistant Defence Attache Col. Chang and senior officials of the RSA attended the event.
RSA is a state-run institute which looks into welfare of war heroes who were killed, missing and injured in the war.
