Three suspects arrested over drug related offences
June 24, 2020Police have arrested three suspects with drugs in their possession during separate raids conducted in Dehiwala, Modara and Mulleriyawa on Tuesday (June 23).
A 29-year-old suspect was arrested along with 10g of heroin following a tip-off received by the Dehiwala Police. The arrested suspect was a resident on ‘Waidya’ road in Dehiwala.
Similarly, a 34-year-old suspect was arrested from the ‘Randiya Uyana’ housing scheme in Modara by the Modara Police along with 2.87g of heroin in his possession on Tuesday evening. The suspect was later identified to be a resident at Karandanagama, Weerapokuna.
Meanwhile, a 25-year-old suspect was arrested by the Mulleriyawa Police with 2.55g of heroin in possession from Weliwita in Kaduwela.
