CSD to convert 500 houses in Deegawapiya to a Quarantine Centre
June 25, 2020Civil Security Department (CSD) has undertaken a project to convert 500 abandoned village houses in Deegawapiya, Ampara to a new Quarantine Centre said, CSD’s Director Media Col. Nilantha Rathnasinghe today (25).
Col. Rathnasinghe told defence.lk, these houses were selected from an abandoned village, and over 100 CSD personnel were attached to the project under the directives of the CSD's Director General Rear Admiral (Retd) Ananda Peiris.
CSD is renovating these houses to fulfill a timely national requirement, he added.
