1,214 persons sent for quarantine for not wearing facemasks in public places
June 29, 2020A total of 1,214 persons, who moved in public places without wearing facemasks, have been directed for two weeks quarantine by the Police.
The Police conducted a special operation in the Western Province during the weekend to create awareness in people on social distancing and importance of wearing facemasks in public places with the easing of the imposed police curfew.
In addition, nearly 7,000 persons were warned for failing to adhere to the health guidelines issued in lieu of the Coronavirus pandemic, the Police stated.
