162 persons not wearing facemasks sent for self-quarantine
July 01, 2020During a special operation conducted by the Police in the Western Province during the last 24 hours ending at 5 a.m. today (July 01), 162 persons, who were not wearing facemasks in public places, have been directed for self-quarantine.
The Police are conducting special operations to create awareness in people on social distancing and importance of wearing facemasks in public places.
In addition, 905 persons who were not properly wearing facemasks were warned and released, the Police said.
Meanwhile, the Police cautioned the public to adhere to the health guidelines issued to avert the possibility of a second-wave of the Coronavirus pandemic.
