Landslide warnings issued for five districts
July 20, 2020The National Building Research Organization (NBRO) issued landslide warnings for five districts- Colombo, Kalutara, Ratnapura, Galle and Kegalle- due to the prevailing inclement weather conditions, today (July 20).
The NBRO urged people to be vigilant on sudden appearance of water sprouts, cracks on walls and on the soil as these may be early signs of impending landslides.
The NBRO comes under the purview of the Defence Ministry.
