COVID – 19 Fund allocates Rs.36 million to conduct PCR tests
July 25, 2020The COVID-19 Health and Social Security Fund has allocated Rs. 36,605,812.00 to the Health Ministry to carry out essential PCR tests.
The Fund Management Committee Chairman and the Central Bank Governor Prof. W.D Lakshman handed over the cheque with regard to the allocation to the Health Ministry Secretary Maj. Gen. Sanjeewa Munasinghe yesterday (24).
The allocation would be used to conduct PCR tests and health security consultation programmes.
The COVID-19 Fund balance has now surpassed Rs. 1,525 million along with the various types of donations and direct deposits.
