Police nab 2,057 suspects in island-wide raids
July 26, 2020The Police have arrested a total of 2, 057 suspects during island-wide operations conducted by different Police stations.
The arrested include 473 suspects for illegal drug-related offences, three for possession of four repeater guns, 307 suspects with over 4115 litres of illegal liquor, 276 suspects, who were evading Arrest Warrants and 641 suspects for other similar offences.
During the raids, the Police have seized 47 kilogram of cannabis, 42 grams of ‘ice’ and 159 grams of heroin, the Police said.
