New Indian Defence Advisor pays a courtesy call on Defence Secretary
July 28, 2020The newly appointed Defence Advisor to the High Commission of India Capt. Vikas Sood paid a courtesy call on Defence Secretary Maj. Gen. (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne, this morning (July 28).
Capt. Vikas Sood succeeded Capt. Ashok Rao as the Defence Attaché to the High Commission of India in Sri Lanka.
Defence Secretary held a cordial discussion with Capt. Vikas Sood on matters of bilateral defence and extended his fullest cooperation and support to strengthen defence relationship between two countries.
Capt. Vikas Sood is an Anti-Submarine warfare (ASW) specialist and an alumus of the National Defence Academy (NDA) Khadakwasla.
Prior to his appointment as the Defence Advisor, Capt. Sood has also served on various staff and operational appointments including as an Executive Officer onboard aircraft carrier INS Vikramaditya.
