Annual farewell and scholarships awarding ceremony
July 28, 2020Defence Secretary Maj. Gen. (Retd) Kamal Gunaratne presented gifts for the transferred and retired former Defence Ministry staffer's and their children at a function held at the Ministry, today (28).
Scholarships were also awarded to the ministry staffer's children, who have excelled in grade five scholarships and ordinary level examinations, at the function.
Defence Secretary extended his gratitude to former staffers for their service to the ministry during their tenure.
Appreciating the collective efforts of the staff, Maj. Gen. Gunaratne wished all the transferred and retired ministry staffers and their children for their future endeavours.
Regional Manager AIA Insurance Lanka Limited DMCP Dunusinghe, Chief Security Officer Bank of Ceylon Brig. (Rtd) LWH Gamage, Deputy General Manager (Sales) National Savings Bank L Gomis, Managing Director Metropolitan Private Limited I Maharoof, Defence Ministry officials, invited former staff members and students were also present at the event.
