165 persons leave from SLAF run-quarantine centre in Vanni
July 29, 2020A total of 165 persons, who had completed quarantine at the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) facility in Vanni, have left for their homes, today morning (July 29).
Prior to departure, they had undergone PCR tests and were confirmed negative for the virus, Air Force said.
Meantime, 555 more persons are also scheduled to leave from Sri Lanka Army managed quarantine centres, today following two weeks quarantine at the facilities.
According to the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), 118 from the Periyakadu, 193 from the Purawasakulam, 176 from the Kahagolla and 68 from the Punanai quarantine facilities are to be released today.
A total of 3,102 persons are still under quarantine at 40 quarantine facilities across the country, the NOCPCO added.
