Two Sri Lankans among injured in Beirut explosions
August 05, 2020The Sri Lankan Embassy in Lebanon confirmed that two Sri Lankans have also been injured in the explosions in Beirut, yesterday.
The explosion has killed at least 100 people injuring over 4,000 that shook Beirut yesterday.
The Sri Lankan Embassy in Lebanon and the residences of the Embassy staffers were also sustained slight damages following the hard-hit explosion.
Further, the Embassy has set up 24-hour hotlines to contact the Embassy officials for inquiries.
Around 25000 Sri Lankans are presently residing in Lebanon.
The country will observe an official period of mourning from Wednesday following the incident.
